There was a reference in Heat about sexual tension between Pat and Patrick so seems that wasn't just a rumour as I had hoped.

I know, isn't it such an awful, awful, awful storyline. Whoever thought of it should be shot.

It is awful, i agree. Patrick would never cheat on Yolande, and if he did, not with Pat. What is it with that woman and men who run the car lot? Frank, Roy, and now it seems Patrick too.

I know, it's so stupid. Pat would not fall for Patrick purely because of the car lot. And she has surely learnt her lesson by now. Patrick would never cheat on Yolande. I hate this storyline already.

Billy notices Honey's preoccupation, and enlists Garry and Minty's help in arranging a romantic surprise to cheer her up. However, as the Queen Vic barmaid tries to think of the best way of dealing with her secret, she becomes convinced her beau wants to patch things up with his ex-wife. Later, Billy tries to prevent Honey from finding out about his date with Little Mo before making a surprise proposal. Elsewhere, a distracted Dot runs over the Square's latest doctor - leading to a shock for another resident. Jim and Charlie hatch a plan to bring Stacey and Bradley together, but she proves reluctant to spend time with the newcomer - and things go from bad to worse over a takeaway. Patrick decides not to tell Yolande about Pat's help with the VAT and Joe has a leaving party in the Vic as he prepares to depart for Dubai - having left a note for Pauline.

It takes a brave man to even attempt to melt the cold heart of Pauline Fowler, but it looks like Joe has managed the unthinkable. Having had his proposal of marriage turned down once by the Walford stalwart already, anybody would have forgiven Joe if he'd given up and left the Square with his tail between his legs. However, after being faced with an ultimatum, Pauline asks Joe to marry her, and takes the first step into her new life by removing the ring Arthur gave her. Meanwhile, things hot up over at the car lot. After sacking Pat on Yolande's instructions, Patrick feels guilty and asks her back, but she says she needs an incentive. The pair have a few drinks to settle their differences, but get carried away. Their outrageous flirting continues, and they almost get caught in the act by Jim. Elsewhere, Deano asks Dawn out on a date, but she's more interested in the new doctor. Plus, Honey and Billy move in together, Sonia struggles with her feelings as she helps Naomi prepare for a blind date, and a delirious Nora reveals to Keith that Rosie is still in love with Mike.

Joe and Pauline make preparations for their upcoming nuptials, with Martin being asked to do the honours as best man. However, the arrival of Joe's daughter, Megan, throws a spanner in the works as she takes an instant dislike to her future stepmother, and Pauline is none too pleased when she starts asking personal questions. On the morning of the wedding, the bride begins to wonder if she's doing the right thing and struggles to decide if she should walk up the aisle. Meanwhile, Patrick begins to feel the strain as he divides his time between the two women in his life, lover Pat and wife Yolande. The latter is upset when he doesn't make much of an effort on Valentine's Day, and the salesman soon realises he's going to have to decide which lady he wants to be with.

Soap weddings never run smoothly. The whole Patrick/Yolande/Pat love triangle is daft. The sooner this is over the better IMO.
