Yep, i just uninstalled Norton Internet Security, and and everything worked like a dream.

Maybe your anti virus is restricting your access. If you're not using Norton anymore then you could try uninstalling it. Yeah, it's a shame nobody thought of two weeks ago

Yes, but i couldn't do it two weeks ago, as i only found the programme to do it today. You couldn't doit via the add/remove programmes bit. You needed a special programme from Symantec to remove it all which i only found today.

Because Norton didn't appear in the list of programmes you could remove. Apparently Norton is notoriously hard to remove, hence they have a special programme to do it for you.

I know how to remove Norton. I had to remove it from my laptop once before. I can't really remember but I don't think I did it through the list of programmes but I didn't use a special programme either.

Oh right. It was the only way i could do it as it wouldn't let me delete the programme files either.
